Extended Christmas Break…

This year I’d planned to bring you all sorts of festive treats. Unfortunately life has gotten in the way, and my health took an unexpected nosedive last week. Everything’s a bit up in the air until it gets sorted out. My inner foodie is sad but will be hoping to be back in the kitchen soon!!

Wishing all my followers and anyone passing by a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and I hope to be back soon!

I will leave you with some foodie pictures taken the past few weeks:

Loaded Salmon & cheese potato skins:
(Aka how to finally use that tin of pink salmon)

Gorgeous ricotta and roasted tomato bruschetta, at Jamie's Italian:

Sell-your-soul-they-were-so-good Mushroom Fritti, also at Jamie's Italian:

How to scare your friends: Nigella's 40 Cloves of Garlic Roast Chicken:

Hope you feel better soon and can still enjoy Christmas.

Don't worry about festive cooking - there's plenty of good quality produce in the shops!

Thankyou to everyone one of your lovely comments! What a lovely bunch you all are, has made me smile :)

Am doing okay at the moment, a mixture of good and bad days! Isn't daytime TV just so dire?!

Update wise...I am currently waiting for a surgery date, hopefully will be in the next two weeks or so.. have a few rough weeks ahead but hoping to get back soon! Until then I am drooling over my Christmas present to myself - the new Nigella Kitchen book!

Love Anne xx

I got the new Nigella, too! I'm a walking testament to modern medicine, after three major surgeries in 16 months. Daytime TV just bummed me out, so I watched movies on Netflix, listened to audible books and read when I could. I'm looking forward to seeing you back in action!

Aww hope you have a speedy recovery and I'm looking forward to seeing all the gorgeous recipes you post in 2011. Those loaded potato skins, by the way, look stupendous!

Janet - I really do love the new Nigella book, even though am not technically cooking right now, my copy is sitting right next to me! Am deciding what 'he' can cook me this week ;-) Hope you are all healed nicely now xx

Jan - thankyou darling xx much much better xx

noblenourishment - thankyou too! The salmon skins were surprisingly good, was not expecting much, as were very much a cupboard emergency dinner but will definitely make again!
